3) Raheem Sterling, 20
Number one on our list is Raheem Sterling, who has shone for both Liverpool and England over the past few seasons. Sterling began his football education as part of the QPR academy before joining Liverpool in 2010 for an initial £600,000 which will more than likely rise to, a still bargain, £5-million. Two years later, Sterling became the second-youngest player to ever appear for Liverpool. Since then his rise has been unstoppable. He was vital in Liverpool’s title charge last season and received a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year as a reward. Sterling was also one of the only players to come out of England’s disasterous World Cup campaign with his reputation enhanced. He has continued his progress this season and looks likely to sign a new deal that will take his wages from £35,000 a week to in excess of £100,000 a week.
