9) Thibaut Courtois, 22
Courtois has already achieved much in his career at the tender age of 22. Courtois broke into the Genk first-team at the age of 16 years and 341 days and was vital in their 2011 championship win. This convinced Chelsea to sign him for £4.5-million on a five-year deal, although he was immediately loaned out to Atletico Madrid. During three seasons on loan at Atletico the team excelled and Courtois received a number of individual plaudits. During this time he also established himself as the Belgian number one and has already accrued 27 international caps. Following the 2014 World Cup, Courtois returned to Chelsea to be handed a new five-year contract worth £100,000 a week and displaced Petr Cech as Chelsea’s undisputed number one.
