6) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 21
‘The Ox’ has been around for so long it is difficult to believe he is only 21-years old. A product of the famed Southampton academy, he featured for the club in League One for a season before attracting Arsene Wenger’s attention. Arsenal paid £15-million for Chamberlain in 2011, and he rewarded the club’s faith with an excellent first season, receiving a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year and a surprise call-up to the 2012 England European Championship squad. Chamberlain’s form earned him a new £60,000 a week contract and saw him shortlisted for the Golden Boy Award 2013. Since then he has struggled to maintain his fitness but he is still young enough to achieve his potential.
