Kroenke started in real estate before forming the Kroenke Sport Enterprise. With this company he owns a stake in a number of American sport franchises, in various sports, including the MLS’ Colorado Rapids and NFL’s St. Louis Rams.
In 2007, Kroenke purchased a majority share in Arsenal which is estimated to cost a total £720million. ‘Silent Stan’ has faced criticism from the Arsenal fans for his perceived lack of involvement and investment in the club.
7) Shahid Khan – Fulham -£2.5 Billion
Shahid Khan purchased Fulham from long-term owner Mohamed Al Fayed in July 2013 for an estimated £150-200million. Khan also owns NFL Franchise the Jacksonville Jaguars. Khan made his fortune with the automobile parts manufacturer company Flex-N-Gate, which he purchased for around £40,000 in 1980 and now has an annual revenue of over $3billion.
Khan hasn’t had the best of starts in charge at Fulham however. The club have already had three managers this season, and are in danger of relegation to the Championship.
