# 1 Wang Jianlin – $14.1 Billion
With a net worth of $14.1 Billion, Wang Jialin is China’s richest man. He owns no less than 75 department stores, 85 shopping plazas and 51 five star hotels and he plans on investing even more. Interesting enough, he spent his first few decades being very poor.
