This British Multinational banking and financial services company has around 6,600 offices in 80 countries. It serves approximately 125 million customers. As on December 31 2013, it held assets worth $2.671 trillion.
3) Industrial and Commercial Bank of China ($196.21 billion)
The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China is the largest bank in China. This state owned bank was founded as a limited company on January 1 1984. As on March 2010, it had assets worth around $1.9 trillion. It has more than 18,000 outlets including 106 overseas branches. In 2008, this bank was the first Chinese bank to adopt the Equator Principles.
