Considered as one of the most successful American models. Carolyn Murphy’s earnings came from campaigns for Jones New York, Gap and Shinola. At 41, Murphy continues to financially out-shine younger models with big contracts like Estée Lauder, Ugg and Oscar de la Renta. Starting her modeling career at the age of 17, Murphy has worked with big names like Karl Lagerfeld, late Helmut Newton, Mario Testino, and Steven Meisel.

Although no longer an Angel Karlie Kloss still made it to the list. She left Victoria’s Secret earlier this year, but still has lucrative deals with L’Oréal, Kate Spade and Joe Fresh. Her most lucrative deals include contract as the face of Chanel Coco Noir fragrance. Currently attending New York University, the supermodel took coding classes in 2014 summer and has since become an advocate for teaching young women coding. Kloss partnered with the Flatiron School to create the ‘Kode With Karlie’ which grant scholarship to young female coders. With her friend singer Taylor Swift, Kloss appeared on the March 2015 issue of American Vogue. She has over 1.1 million fans on Facebook and 3.1 million Instagram followers.

Africa’s richest model Candice Swanepoel made $5 million between 2014 and 2015. She become Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2010 and has since featured on the Forbes list. The South African supermodel made most of her earnings from her deals with Max Factor and Versace fragrance with the rest coming from campaigns for Free People, Givenchy and her Victoria’s Secret gig. She is well-liked on Instagram with over 6 million followers.
