The Philadelphia Phillies signed a new, long-term local television agreement with Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia in January. The agreement, which is worth $5 billion, will begin with the 2016 season. The team’s revenue in 2013 was $265 million and operating loss was $20.9 million.
The San Francisco Giants had the third highest attendance in baseball last year. It drew 3.36 million to AT&T Park, despite posting a poor record of 76-86. The team earned a revenue of $316 million and its operating income was $53.3 million.
