Purchased at $40 million (£24m), the American-bred and British-trained Shareef Dancer was another Maktoum investment. The damsire of Dubai Millennium had a very successful sire in his career. The colt finished his racing career with 3-1-0 and total earnings of $246,463.
1. Fusaichi Pegasus ($60 Million)
The Ultimate Horse – From a racehorse to a stallion. Dubbed “FuPeg” by his fans, this horse was sold to Irish breeder Coolmore Stud for a reported $60 million (£35m). It made less than two million dollars in winning. Fusaichi Pegasus is the world’s most expensive horse.
