2. Caracas, Venezuela

Located in South America and only a few kilometers from the beautiful Caribbean Sea, Caracas, although an extremely stunning place is also very dangerous. What makes this city so incredibly dangerous is the persistent and constant fighting between multiple gangs involved with drugs. There are numerous shootings and robberies that occur within the city streets that all typically end in some sort of tragedy. If heading there, be sure to ALWAYS stay with a trusted guide and be overly cautious and aware.

1. San Pedro Sula, Honduras

The second largest city in all of Hondurus, San Pedro Sula is notorious for its extremely high murder rate. There is also a lot of drug trafficking and gun running by many of the local gangs where the rates of killings have been increasing in the more recent years. The total murders that occur yearly (171 per 100,000 people in 2014) have a 97% rate of going completely unsolved. It is best to stay away from this area altogether as a tourist.
