Although thousands upon thousands of people head to Cape Town each year to enjoy its stunning beauty, gorgeous hotels and notable restaurants, it comes from a long and troubles history of horrible violence. Despite many areas getting away from this violence, there are certain areas, which are highly advised to be avoided, especially at night where local gangs may be a threat.

3. Acapulco, Mexico

Although considered somewhat of a tropical Mexican paradise filled with white sandy beaches, picturesque sunsets and luxury resorts, Acapulco has an increased violence rate. Most of it has to do with clashes between police and drug cartels and unfortunately, many tourists pose an easy target and sadly become victims to such violence.
