Blavatnik is an American citizen even though he was born in Russia. He is worth £10 billion coming from investments, media and music businesses. He invested in big oil and metal companies in Russia. Just last March, he made a whopping £4 billion net income from selling his shares in the TNK-BP oil business. He owns £3.8 billion worth of holdings in the fuels, plastics, chemicals company LyondellBasell. He owns £274 million worth of shares in the British media group Perform. The 56-year-old tycoon has given £54.7 million to various American universities last year.
#3. Lakshmi Mittal and family – £10.2 billion

Mittal, 63, owns ArcelorMittal, one of the world’s biggest players in the steel and mining industry. Even though the steel industry has faced severe challenges in the past several years, ArcelorMittal’s shares managed to recover by £700 million. Mittal and family is now worth £10.2 billion. Mittal has managed to stay on the Rich List for eight years now. He has lived in London since 1995 with wife Usha. The steel tycoon owns 33% of the Queens Park Rangers, which is headed by Tony Fernandes. Mittal is also active in philanthropy making £24 million worth of charitable donations last year.
