Fredriksen is know ad Norway’s richest man with a net worth of £9.2 billion coming mainly from shipping and oil businesses. He spends most of his time in his £133 million Chelsea house in London. He aims to make the largest fleet of fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly ships through his Frontline 2012 Company. He recently sold five ships to Knightsbridge Tankers worth £180 million.
He started building his fortune during the 1980s Iran-Iraq War. He took risk and pick up oil with his tankers amidst the war, which made him amass massive amounts of profit. Besides shipping, he also has businesses in oil exploration, travel, energy and salmon farming. He has stakes in 16 companies and his most important asset is with Seadrill, which amounts to £8 billion. Fredriksen is devoted in supporting cancer research after his wife succumbed to the disease in 2006. He supports cancer research by donating £5 million to the Inger and John Fredriksen Foundation.
#5. Ernesto and Kirsty Bertarelli – £9.7 billion

Husband and wife tycoons Ernesto, 48, and Kristy, 42, are worth £9.7 billion minly coming from the pharmaceutical business. The couple owns the Vava II, a £100 million British yacht. They also won America’s Cup yachting race twice. The couple was married in 2000 and they have three children. Kristy is a former Miss UK and is a singer-songwriter from Staffordshire. The family has notable philanthropic works giving over £135 million to charity last year. One of the main projects for their charity is to help build a new biotechnology research and development centre called Campus Biotech in Geneva, Switzerland.
