Haiti is the poorest country in North America. In Haiti, around 77 percent of the population lives in poverty. Food insecurity and hunger are predominant in this Caribbean nation. It is plagued by shortage of skilled labor and widespread unemployment.
The economy of North America as a whole is well defined and structured. However, some nations in the continent have a long way to go before they can be considered as developed nations.
