“Profiles in History” is the world’s largest dealer and auctioneer of authentic Hollywood memorabilia. They organized the Hollywood memorabilia auction event in October 2014 in LA, California.

10) Vivien Leigh’s Black Top in “Gone with the Wind” ($36,900)

Vivien Leigh’s “Scarlett O’Hara” elegant black top from Victor Fleming’s 1939 epic movie “Gone with the Wind” sold for $36,900. This fashion item was created by Walter Plunkett, a prolific American costume designer. The memorabilia of this movie were a huge success at this event.


9) Steve McQueen’s “Virgil Hilts” Prison Shirt in “The Great Escape” ($49,200)

Many collectors were attracted to this “The Great Escape” item. It ultimately sold for $49,200. Another item from the actor’s memorabilia, the blue naval jumper worn in the movie “The Sand Pebbles” earned only $13,530.
