8. Chopard Super Ice Cube – $1.1 million
Just like Black Caviar, retailers no longer list the price of this ladies’ watch made from baguette diamonds that strikingly resemble ice. Its18-karat white gold case is fully set with diamonds. The front is covered with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It is also water resistant up to 30 meters. Chopard has made watches since its founding in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard.
7. Patek Philippe’s Sky Moon Tourbillon – $1.3 million
Retailers no longer list the price of this manual wind-up men’s watch made of 688 parts. It displays everything from second, to moon phase, to leap year. The case’s crystal back reveals a sublime celestial chart, but is not water-resistant. Each year only two are made, one rose-gold and one platinum. Patek Philippe was founded in 1851 and has developed the perpetual calendar, chronograph and minute repeater as well.
